Elegant lounge chair designed by Axel Larsson, executed by master carpenter Hjalmar Jacksson at Stockholms Hantverksförening. Frame made from walnut with a decor of walnut along the edges and forming a pattern on the sides. Original, green velvet fabric upholstered by well-renowned upholsterer Haglund.

The design is represented in the archives of Stockholms Hantverksförening. This chair was part of Stockholms Hantverksförening’s prestigious Hantverkslotteriet, a popular lottery founded in Stockholm in the mid 1800s offering expertly crafted furniture and other items by highly regarded designers. The lottery had big exhibitions aimed at increasing public interest in artisanal pieces and the proceeds were used for the various activities of Stockholms Hantverksförening, among them acquiring a permanent showroom, holding public lectures and funding study trips.
