Rare teak chest of drawers by Egon Bro, designed in 1944. Five small drawers at the top and three big ones at the bottom. Nice contrast between the casual knobs on the small drawers and elegant brass ones on the below.
The chest of drawers was introduced in at the Copenhagen Cabinet-makers’ Guild Exhibition in 1944, included in a set of furniture for the bedroom. The last two photos are from the exhibition. The piece is described as “excellent”, with its straightforward design and different sized drawers determined by their use.
