Striking elm, oak and walnut sideboard by Josef Frank, where Frank’s characteristic luxurious modernism includes streaks of Swedish traditionalism, creating an interesting blend of styles. This sideboard was among the pieces displayed at Nationalmuseum’s retrospective exhibition of Frank’s work in 1952. The sideboard is made of three types of wood: elm in the body, oak on the fronts of the drawers and walnut on the top, all beautifully restored.
